Support for professionals
We work with schools, organisations, and local authority teams to develop psychologically informed approaches that support children.
Our work helps teams understand needs, strengthen practice, and improve outcomes across settings.
Working with us
We provide psychological consultation and applied support for professionals working with children and young people.
This includes support with individual cases, wider practice development, and strategic input across settings.
Our aim is to strengthen confidence, shared understanding, and effective decision-making.
Initial consultation (online)
All support for professionals begin with a brief 20-minute online initial consultation. This helps us to understand your priorities and needs.
From here, we agree clear next steps, which may include further consultation, professional development, or direct work with children and young people in your care.
Together, we will identify the right level of input and create a plan that promotes sustainable, effective outcomes.
Further consultation
A longer, tailored consultation to explore specific students, situations, or priorities in more depth.
This may include case discussion, problem-solving, and guidance to support planning and practice within your setting.
A 2-page summary report is provided.
Sessions can take place online, in person in Dumfries, or within your setting where appropriate.
Service-level agreements
For ongoing support, service-level agreements provide structured psychological input across the academic year.
This supports continuity, early intervention, and consistent access to consultation as needs arise.
Sessions may be used for:

contribution to review meetings and planning processes

This may contribute to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNAs) or Child’s Plans.
Each assessment provides clear, practical, and evidence-based recommendations to support planning and decision-making.
A 6-page comprehensive report is provided.
